Winter 2016 Update
Winter is here and it's time for another shop update. As you can see, the site has undergone some changes and hopefully it will be a little less cumbersome to navigate and find what you are looking for. This has been a long time coming and hopefully we can transition smoothly however please contact me if you find any bugs or omissions. Over the past 2 years I have been adding and taking pages away as the shop evolved and with a full time job plus full time parenting it has been tough to keep everything organized. This is my attempt at a minimalistic site that hopefully makes a more pleasant shopping experience.
Atelier Havier Collection
A few weeks ago I launched a new handkerchief collection showcasing some of the finest fabrics I have come across in the past 3 years. Debuting first was the vintage Japanese fabric in both cotton and raw silk. These fabrics were imported to San Fransisco by a shop that specializes in Japanese textiles and highlight the very best the country has to offer. Some are used (washed and sanitized of course) and others are old stock showcasing the many variations in textile design and construction. Recently they were paired with Matteo Linen imported from London to Los Angeles and I am really impressed with the combination. This linen is softest fabric I have had the pleasure to work with and there will be more color schemes in the future. Some customers have asked about the hefty price tag on these and all I can say is that they are worth it. In the previously mentioned collection some of the fabrics were only available to designers making museum quality articles so the overhead is quite high and the availability is very limited. Luckily I can do a fair share of sweet talking so I can make these available to the average collector.
Shirt Update
I have been having some issues with the shop that is making the shirts but I have been assured they will be mailed out to me late this week or early next. They were unable to get the long sleeve shirts in the same brand that I have been using (despite telling me they could) so I had to change them to American Apparel. If this is an issue please contact me and I will refund your money. Quality wise they will be just as good but I understand if you are hesitant about the different cut. On top of that they mailed the short sleeve shirts with a carrier that doesn't deliver to P.O. Boxes so they were sent back to them last week. Its complete bull shit but out of my hands for the moment. I do however apologize for the delay. I was assured by several other makers that have used this design company that they were top notch.
